As for the rest of the summer transfer window, journalist Arancha Rodríguezrecently reported that club officials have no plans to add anyone else in reflection of their complete faith and trust with new coach Xabi Alonso and its current roster.
Rodríguez also spoke about Xabi Alonso and said that the coach will have to conform to what has, because in the offices they believe that the squad is still totally complete -it having been many years of work building a midfield so balanced as possible that it can take care at least until this year top competition.
The challenge now is for Alonso to work out how to harness this, find balance between the grizzed old heads with the starry-eyed new blood — in what could be a tough season.
