Sweden striker Alexander Isaac resumed training this Monday morning with his Newcastle team after a period of absence so powerful that there was more and more talk about his desire to end up marching during this summer transfer window.
The attacker had been working in isolation in recent weeks at his old club Real Sociedad, as he missed Newcastle's training camp in Singapore. Sky Sports report him to have arrived at Newcastle's training ground after flying back from Spain on Saturday.
Newcastle explained that Isaac missed training with a "thigh problem," and that the player travelled to San Sebastián where he is to continue his rehabilitation work in Spain under the watch of his own medical staff.
All this is while — amidst growing talk of him potentially being allowed to leave — Newcastle wanted £120m from Liverpool and Newcastle insisted Isaac was not for sale.
Isaac arrived at Newcastle in the summer of 2022, a £60 million signing from Real Sociedad, and still has three years left of his existing deal. But the club have started looking at other attacking calibre and are deep in talks with Leipzig over a £69m deal for Benjamin Sesko, which is near the Germany side demands.
